Wheat Farina
Can't find much about wheat farina in this forum. I was wondering what your thoughts were on wheat farina (coco wheats, cream of wheat). I coudn't find the GI for wheat farina. Anybody know what it is? I've been using coco wheats lately (dont mind the few grams of sugar) because I got a little tired of oats, and it had a lot more carbs in it gram for gram. I don't plan on making it a staple, just throwin in a little change. Anybody else eat some derivative of wheat farina?

Great stuff, its also called Cream of Wheat. Low GI I believe in the 40's. Eat some almost everyday.

Nice, for some reason I was under the impression it was a bit higher. I thought I saw on a website that one particular product 'flavor' of Cream of Wheat had a GI of 65 or so. I love my oats, but it can get a bit old. This is a nice break, and like I said, it's packed with carbs. Too bad I've lowered my carb intake

http://www.gilisting.com/2004/05/gly...t-cereals.html had it a GI of 66 at 250gms/serving. The instant was a bit higher. Btw Giant, glad to see you around.
