To my knowledge all it is, is that in the case of concentrate all the juice is removed from the fruit and later water or the juice is added back to make in a liquid state again. I believe the FDA obliges the companies to reinstate and make sure the the contents are the same or better as real un-altered 100% pure fruit juice.

the benefits are not the same. Many of the nutrients are lost in the process. So you end up with a high GI fructose drink with no nutritional value.

actually you get more Dihydroxybergamotin (DHB) from grapefruit concentrate than you do from the fresh stuff u buy in a box or jug since they include more rhine/peel in the concentrate... which i have read in many studies... so i cant completely say all nutrients are lost or that concentrate has no nutritional value.

Again to my knowledge the FDA obliges these companies to make sure they have at least the same nutritional value as pure, freshly squeezed juice.

IMHO, would I pay extra for it? No. Id rather buy a juicer and just squeeze it out. Then again I just rather eat the fruit.

yeah i guess i should state that... concentrate and Fresh juices can be completely different.
fresh juice my be manufactured so that the rhine/peel are completely removed which may reduce the amount of nutrients in the product.. BUT the process of the concentrate, while incorporating the rhine and peel-may render the juice its self useless? I DONT KNOW IM CONFUSED NOW ****ing perfectbeast.. Skrewing things up again! ><

they base nutrient value on levels of vitamins ect. What about all the natural fibre? Bottom line is concentrate is a processed food

Yes, in juices the removal of seeds, peels or hulls reduces fiber content. Hence the reason I eat whole fruit in its natural state in the first place.
For my fiber intake I, personaly, dont rely on fruits but rather vegetables and breads, cereals, and grains. The fiber content in grams is much higher and from which I derive it from are All Bran, o atmeal and brown rice. Apple, with skin, pear and raisins are also my fruits of choice as far as fiber is concerned. Ideally it would be blackberries. Also, the best things to take for fiber are lentils, beans and peas.

As Tai stated in 100% pure juice if the seed, skin, rhines, peel and so on are removed you are already losing much of the wanted nutritional benefits. Therefore if you really want the full benefits you would have to have those included whether it be pure or from concentrate.

Again I reiterate, I prefer to eat a whole fruit over any juice. When I do have fruit in a liquified it is more so for the vitamins and minerals. Then again that is just IMHO

Do a little research on the brand of juice you buy also, even if it is the concentrate. Many of those companies add a shit-ton of sugar to their products to enhance the flavor and it is normally in the form of fructose.

As others have said, concentrated juice also goes through a process and you don't get the fiber from the pulp and even bits of the rind/skin. These all contain a ton of vitamins and thats the 2nd best part of fruit! (taste is first )
