    Low vs. High Glycemic Carbs

I'm currently trying to put on some lean muscle (one week into cycle). I'm also about 16 weeks out from a competition so I can't afford to put on any bodyfat. I'm keeping my cals about 500 over maintance and am wondering how much of my carbs should come from low verses high glycemic sources? Again, this is for trying to add a few pounds. I'm running a pretty advanced cycle that should keep fat at a minimum (test/tren /winny).

I am having trouble getting in all the cals I need; feels like I"m force feeding myself every couple of hours. Would I be better off sticking with mainly high glycemic carbs for the next few weeks? Thanks.

Not that it really matters for purposes of this thread, but I"m on a 50/40/10 carb/pro/fat diet currently.

    DD

I'd go with low GI carbs, I find I get fat alot easier off high GI carbs...

but I know what you mean about the force feeding, it gets easier after a few weeks...Dbol worked for me, made me SO goddamn hungry I'd eat like 2 chicken breasts and rice and be hungry in an hour

I'm actually on dbols right now, about 8 days in and my appetite still is nowhere near the amount of food I'm taking in.

Besides PWO, where I want to replenish glycogen, I prefer low GI. It keeps your blood levels constant, is slower to fully metabolize and hence leads to thermogenesis. Therfore is a way, secondary albeit, it helps in fatloss. They are also higher in fiber and unrefined.

With high GI carbs you will get hungry and feeding yourself more often versus low GI carbs.

I guess the reason I was thinking of adding in more high GI carbs is the fact that I"m having trouble getting in enough calories and I thought high GI carbs could help with this.

    I am pretty bad ass.

Now, how exactly is "Cytogainer!!!!" related to my low verses high GI carb question?
