Adding dextrose and carbs to protein shakes?
Just wondering what’s the purpose of adding 60-80g of dextrose to your post workout protein shake??? I’ve been reading this a lot but I have not clue why it is done, does it have any benefits, it’s gotta have something to do with the insulin spike no?
can someone please explain this to me I appreciate it.
Also what kind of a carbs can I mix in with my protein for post workout shake?

Replenish glycogen....pretty much any carb source can be mixed with your PWO.
dextrose is a simple carbohydrate.
Lol, no flame intended, but what info have you picked up on this site since 2003?
