    Midnight Munchies

    What causes midnight munchies?

What is healthy to eat when you wake up in the middle of the night?

Lots of things are healthy but most of em wont do any good for fat loss. Try a dill pickle maybe, tastes good to me when im dieting and it has real low cal like most vegetables.

agreed, casein is the way to go if you're waking up hungry.

the thing with dill pickles, correct me if i'm wrong doolo, is that they have an absolute sh it load of sodium in them...if cutting I always try to stear clear of excess sodium.

It's probably caused by stress or lack of sleep, don't eat anything as it might blunt the release of HGH, down a scoop of BCAA, that's the best thing I can think of.

I have the same problem every night. Someone on here told me to down a protein shake, which seems to be helping. For some reason I crave sugar like crazy in the middle of the night!

Try mixing up a package of fat free sugar free pudding and before you add skim to blend up the pudding powder, Scoop in like 4-5 scoops of whey protein powder and add a little more skim so that when you shake it up its really watery,

then mix in the protein shake to the pudding powder and mix it up until smooth, refrigerate and enjoy for a healthy late night snack,

also if you want do cottage cheese with natty pb before bed, helps kill hunger and provides a nice amino acid drip throughout the first part of the night.

If a quick bottle of water doesn't tickle your fancy, then throw in some sugar free Crystal Lite into the mix. It always helps curb a craving for sweets for me, and if I down it quickly enough, it makes me pretty full.

I just go for water and a protein shake, fills me up till morning. If I'm really hungry when I wake I'll take a spoonful of natty peanut butter then go back to sleep.
