Is yogurt ok while on a cutting diet?

my friend just bought a huge case of yoplait non fat yogurt in a variety of flavors!!

    they look sooo good!!

6g of protein, 17g of carbs, 0 fat, and i believe 90 calories?

and yes i know, if they fit my macros, go for it, but i recall someone sayin at one point that avoid all dairy if possible when cutting? its make u look flabby? or soft? i dont understand by a flabby or soft look if im eating right, the macros are right, and im doing some great cardio

but yea, is yogurt ok as part of my diet if im cutting? can i have it for breakfast with my grapenuts? oatmeal maybe? thanks alot to everyone for there help and advice!!

Dairy is one of those things that really wont affect your fat loss, just will give a "thickening" of the skin type look. Not really that big of deal unless your ripped and wanna look really ripped.

While it may fit in your macros...remember that your carbs should be from complex sources

they are just those lil fruit yogurt things.
cutting? so .. as long as it fits into your macros your fine.. its sugars are low on the GI. plus it has good probiotics and make cottage cheese palletable.

Like tai said, just make sure that you are getting the no sugar added ones

What i like to do, is take plain yogurt (totally plain, not flavored at all) which has very few carbs. I add a few packets of spenda and a few tablespoons of wheat germ....very yummy.

I really like yogurt. I buy the ones with reduced fat and sugar. I add apple cubes and whey protein with chocolatemint flavour to the yogurt. Yummy. Taste a lot better than oatmeal.

I put a 1/4 to 1/2 of a cup (plain) in my protein shake from time to time.

I also plop some in a bowl from time to time with fresh fruit like blueberries, strawb, or razzb.

MMMM! Live enzymes!! Living cultures in you belly!!!

    Great for your digestive system.
