    deez nuts (grape nuts)

I am cutting down right now, and usualy eat only oatmeal, rice, and yams for my carbs, but I was thinking of maybe once a day eating a bowl of grapenuts instead of the previouse mentioned. How does grapenuts rate compared to the rest of these?

I think grapenuts is comparable. I had it sometimes as part of breakfast during bulking. There are a couple kashi cereals that are good too. But 99% of cereals are pretty bad.

I have to question those bulking staples place in a cutter though. I guess it could work to a point. Seems like the hard way though.

I love grape nuts and I would eat it more often but I aways worry about my protein intake. If I have a bowl of grape nuts Im usually too full to eat egg whites or anything to get my protein requirements in..those grape nuts will stuff you

macros are pretty much the same (bit less fat per oz in grapenuts) but compare the ingredients:

grape nuts: WHOLE GRAIN WHEAT FLOUR, WHEAT FLOUR, MALTED BARLEY FLOUR, SALT, DRIED YEAST, SOY LECITHIN. VITAMINS AND MINERALS: REDUCED IRON, NIACINAMIDE, ZINC OXIDE (SOURCE OF ZINC), VITAMIN B6, VITAMIN A PALMITATE, RIBOFLAVIN (VITAMIN B2), THIAMIN MONONITRATE (VITAMIN B1), FOLIC ACID, VITAMIN B12, VITAMIN D.

    oatmeal: 100% NATURAL ROLLED OATS

i would stick to the unprocessed goodness of oats.

You can always have a shake with it, if it fills you up. Like for example an Atkins shake which has a mix of whey and soy with some fats. Then in a couple hours follow up with some cottage cheese.

My problem with grape nuts was the blandness. A little Splenda fixes that nicely though.
