    is it okay to take tylenol (anti inflammatory) after a work out? If not hot long...

    ....how long should you wait after a workout to take them?

    i try to take them as rarely as possible. non-steroidal anti-inflammatories have been shown to slightly slow protein synthesis... which is exactly what you DO WANT after a workout, so I would take them as far away from your workout as possible, solely for that reason.

    ^^^ agreed. stay away from NSAIDS unless it's a medical emergency

    Unfortunately acetaminophen the only non NSAID OTC pain reliever has the same impact on protein synthesis as the NSAIDS... so your only choice would be opiates =P

    well i have those, i have percocet (Oxycodone and APAP) so that's where i'm in a bind...oh well, my headache is gone
