Uncle Bens Brown Rice?
I had a few questions about brown rice... I've read forums on here about Brown rice and what the differences are between brown rice and tasty white rice... I've came to the conclusion that long grain brown rice is the ideal choice.... but i cant stomach it so i searched around for other brands and i found one i like.....Uncle Bens Ready rice (Whole Grain Brown Rice)... here are some of the nutrional info....
240 calories per serv.
100mg potassium
39g carbs
2g dietary fiber
4g protein
Is this still alright? just remember this is like the only one i like and i want to make sure im not waisting my money

I use the microwavable 90 second Uncle Bens brown rice when I'm in a hurry. It's pretty good stuff and you can even get it in different flavors but like previously said, watch the sodium.

I can't tell the differents between white or brown, they taste the same, if anything I think brown has more of a taste.
and the different between them is that brown has whole.

There isn't much of a difference as far as carbs go but brown rice carries a lot more other nutritional values such as vitamins and fiber. Brown rice also has a lower GI value so it won't spike insulin as much. It all depends on when you're eating it and what your dietary approach is.

ok you know what im talking about then the microwavible stuff its good and i think its only got like 11mg sodium im pretty sure its low... i use soy sauce with it and thats were the major sodium is in....But How can sodium hurt my diet other than just raise my blood pressure.... I actually have a heart condition call Vesa Vegal Syncopy and i heard sodium is good for people with my condition cause i got low blood pressure? if any body knows what im talking? And the difference between brown and white is huge... White rice has no nutrients... and brown rice is whole grain and is a great source of complex carbs....

true that beast.... It did have 3g of fat... They have to put the oil in it so the rice doesnt stick together....Beast man Im starting to make some gains again.. I stopped for a while then one day i started gaining back. im at 135 now... Im almost 20lbs heavier...I took your diet advice on the other forum.... I was amazed to find out 1 piece of salmon has 35g of protein!!!!

3g of oil isn't shit IMO if it keeps you eating brown rice. Keep in mind also that when eating a large portion of protien with any carb, its glycemic value is cut in half.

so your suggesting to eat my carbs seperate from protein meals?

Just the opposite actually, eat the carbs with protein to lessen their glycemic impact. It's the combination of carbs and fats that is to be avoided (generally speaking).
