    honey as a sweetner`

Obviously honey can be used as as a sweetner for cofee, on toast, etc. in place of sugar. But what is the advantage ? Does honey not store it's self as fat on the body like sugar or is there no difference ?

Honey has a higher glycemic value than table sugar. It will make you fat the same as sugar will.

honey much better in terms of added nutritional value. very nutritious. for glycemic it is lower then sugar. it is like comparing an apple computer to a new age one. here is a helpful link

I did the same but with extra virgin olive oil. Used it on everything, but otherwise my diet was flawless. Of course I didnt loose any weight!

it can have its place. take it in spots but dont cover everything with it all day. again, people misunderstand the timing of any carbohydrate even table sugar and say no no no. when in reality you can use it in spots. its all about learning the timing of things.

wow a lot of honey trashing in this thread. if you are against artificial sweeteners, i would go ahead and say that honey is the best sweetener hands-down. calcium, potassium, zinc, and antioxidants are all found in honey. factor it into your diet and you're good to go.
