My Protein Sources
This is currently where I get my protein from every day.
This is what I buy normally every week.
I spend alot of $$$ but BB isn't cheap.
This is just protein, currently carbs are only 3 days out the week.

not bragging but I know a few years ago this would not be possible.
BB is not cheap shit
I didn't include my monthly supplements either
I should also add i weight my meat after its cooked not before, so 8oz of steak is about 10-12 ounces rawLast edited by jackjackson; 07-28-2008 at 07:31 PM.

I live in NY, shits a little more pricey here
I buy 4-5 bulk packages of chicken at BJ's 14-18$ per package
I buy my steak from a local store only because of the quality of it otherwise id get it from the same place i get my chicken from but with shit loads of fat.
where i get it from its clean and lean and tender and not like eating a tire.

Haha - 'Not like eating a tire'
Ya, I've had some shitty shitty steaks before. Can't really afford much of it right now, soon after grad school it'll be a different story. But till then, its all about bargain bulk shopping.

LOL @ the eggs! My fridge is pretty packed with eggs too. How many do you eat per week? Whites and/or yolks? I assume whites only since you're clearly cutting?

I thought those were decent prices. I pay around $1.89-1.99 per lb for chicken. So in NY $2.79 isn't bad. Considering rent there is $3000+ a month for anything half decent, the extra $.80 per lb isn't bad.

my freezer is packed with fish and chicken. i love red meat but only eat it a few times a year because of the obvious downfalls. as for tuna, i used to eat 3 cans a day but i cant make myself eat that crap anymore. i over did it and now i cant eat it ever again. i love tuna steaks but that tasts nothing like tuna in a can. i have been eating fish(salmon, tuna, tilapia, sword fish, mahi mahi, etc..) 3 or 4 days a week and chicken everyday.

7$ a pound isn't bad at all for that steak ,, where i live its 13.79 lb for a new york strip steak..... to much red meat is bad for you though ,, i prolly only eat steak 3 times a week for that reason...i usually stack up on chicken and fish eggs......

London Broil isn't even close to being as good of a cut of meat as a NY strip. NY strip is leaps and bounds better than London Broil.
The price on London broil looks sky high IMO. The chicken is basically what we pay here in Jersey when it isn't on sale, although it was 1.69/lb last week at Shoprite. From what I've seen at Costco, it's always better to buy Chicken from the grocery store.

You need to get a costco membership. I get 18 individually wrapped chicken Breast for 13.99. London Broil Steak for 3.49/lb, and great deals on everything else too. Costco saves me a lot of money!
