do i have the right idea

right now i am a full time student at culinary school and i am going to be starting a full time job in a restaurant very soon....so with school 4 days a week for 5 hrs a day plus my 1 hr driver home and working anywhere from 40 to 60 hrs in the restaurant i am going to have little to no time for the gym....and i know my diet needs to be in check if i dont want to turn into a fat ass again.

so i was thinking of keeping my diet to a high protien little to zero carb and zero fat approach.....only because i am required to taste everything i eat in order to critique it while at school.....with work i shouldent have any probs but i will still need to make sure shit tastes right.......my whole way of thinking is that if i keep carbs and fats to a minimum it leave an area to where i can do what i have to and get the carbs that i need to.....im not sure if it makes any sense to you guys but you might get the idea....if you do understand what im saying just let me know if im on the right track with my thoughts..........im pretty much gonna be sticking to fish, chicken, eggs, broccoli, brussel sprouts, and oat meal and wheat bread in the mornings and maybe in the afternoons if i decide to have a tuna sand......

that wouldn't be a bad approach, if you could spread it throughout your day. tasting food isn't going to do anything. bring some brocolli and eggs or chicken with you and eat every few hours while there.

ive thought about that too.....but when i say tasting....its tasting a 7 or how ever many course meal....i never eat everything in front of me unless i know its not bad..ill butcher the food if i know there is some good in there...other than that i need to know what kind of sauce is on it and shit like that(a lot of cream sauces and shit loaded with sodium and who knows what other kind fatty boy shit is in it)...when i critque what ive eaten it need to be detailed and my grade depends on it....just so you get an idea...and school is priority for now....but im just trying to find the balance to where i can come out on top with both....thanx for the input bro...its good to know that i might be on the right track with this.....anyone else care to share their thoughts on my approach....just 2 or 3 more and my mind is made up unless some has something different to add
