    Must Read For All Bodybuilders

Some of you may have read this in the August issue of Flex Magazine. It was written by Bob Cicherillo and contains some of the best insight you will ever read. It is a list of 30 "Bobservations". Thought about putting this in the Competition Section but I think there are things here to be learned by all. If you have ever competed you will relate to everything in here. If you are planning to compete take his advice, it will serve you well!!

- No posing routine using a costume ever looked cool.
- I’ve never seen a bodybuilder bring up a lagging bodypart by training it more often.
- Cardio sessions over an hour never result in losing more fat without the expense of muscle.
- The heavier I trained, the worse the result.
- The harder you strike a pose the more it looks the same.
- My mother thinks I should have won every show I competed in.
- The further out you cut water the flatter you will look.
- The more you carb up the softer you will look.
- The answer to most questions is “in the middle”.
- The smaller the waist the bigger the shoulders.
- The scale has been responsible for more bodybuilders losing contests than any other factor except the next one.
- The process of carb loading and carb depleting does not work most of the time.
- There is no defense in bodybuilding.
- The illusion of a better bodybuilder is better than a better bodybuilder.
- If you think you know your body better than anyone else you are probably wrong.
- The phrase “I am in the best shape of my life” is the kiss of death.
- Looking good in “bad light” means you are ready.
- It is better to look good than feel good on stage.
- It is better to feel good than look good any time before the day of the show.
- The average prep time is 12 weeks, the average time to screw it up is 48 hours.
- If there are two people in your class and you don’t win, you are last.
- Just because you qualify to compete nationally does not mean you should.
- Drugs don’t build better genetics.
- There is a fine line between dedication and obsession.
- Training smarter trumps training harder.
- The worst bodybuilders make the best gurus and vice versa.
- The best poser never wins the posing round and the most symmetrical never wins the symmetry round.
- Ninety nine percent of competitors who don’t win look better on Fridays or Sundays.
- One hundred percent of winners are satisfied with the judging.
- It’s not how much you can lift it’s how much you look like you can lift.
    Bonus Stuff
There is no “Bench Press” round.
The three worst enemies of a bodybuilder are the scale, the tape measure and the mind.

he means you can do shit reps with heavy ass weight and not grow near as much as actually doing a controlled movement. if you ever start doing them right and keep doing them right you will be able to have the mind muscle connection, read wolfs article.

i like number 30. i use it a lot when talking with buddies. I always say, "I want to look like i can bench press 500 or squat 850, but i don't care if i can."
