    Making Cutting Diet

Is it necessary to know your body fat % in order to make a cutting carb cycling diet. I'm age 30, 5' 9" 173lbs currently training 5 days a week and consuming 3500 cal 350 protein, 132 carbs 176 fat.

Also if I do need to take body fat measurements is there any better or more accurate methods then using caliper.

In terms of weight it is always beneficial to calculate your weight in terms of non-fat weight. So to deduct fat weight out. Fat doesnt need nutrients, so yes at least an approximation is needed.

e.g:Two people weigh 200lbs, one with 20% BF the other with 7%. They dont have the same caloric needs, TDEE.

The most accurate and avaliable now is the water measurement.
