alternative to brown rice
ive been on cutting diet for 7 weeks and brown rice over and over again is killing me.. i got some soy sauce to attempt to spice it up, but other than that its still getting to be difficult to eat day in and day out over an extended period of time ..
ssomebody has to have an idea to brown rice for example
my dinners go
Veggies
brown rice
chicken breast or fish
any ideas for an alternative to brown rice for dinners?!

Red potatoes are where it's at. Slice em thin add a little sea salt and bake em. I like to slice some paper thin and others kinda thick because it makes some crispy and some a little softer.
Lemon Pepper Chicken Breast, steamed veggies and sliced red potatoes is one of my favorite dinners.
You can also make meatloaf and add a bunch of quaker oats to the meat before you bake it to get some carbs.
How is your diet going BTW, seeing some good results yet?

my diet is goin pretty good, saturday is my cheat day.. i find myself looking forward to it lol
but ive been pretty strict, im struggling with like snacks.. like i dont have much to snack on when im just sitting around .. i got pineapple chucks, and pickles but i dont eat them much.. i figured i'd get those salads that are already packaged for you, and get some fat free dressing..
as for results i am actually, thanks for asking but im dying to get a ripped six pack asap, but i know it takes time..ive been on the diet for about 6 weeks, previously i would work out and eat whatever i could get my hands on..
i get confused though when reading the labels on foods when im shopping, for example i went to get olive oil and it was like pure fat, so i made a post and i guess its somebody everybody should have in their diet...
then i got mashed potatos as an alternative to brown rice
looking at
cals - 170
cals from fat - 70
total fat - `1g
sodium- 380mg
carb- 19g
protein- 2g
and i thought i could get away with it , but i was advised for cutting its not a good idea..so im still learning but hopefully ill get there

Yah, you'll definatley get there. I'm still learning lots of new things everyday.
Olive oil is a "Good Fat" and even a cutting diet needs fat.
Mashed potatoes would be ok but don't get the boxed kind just make em yourself that way you don't have to load them up with all the garbage that the instant ones have in them.

Cutting....hmmm I'd stick with just oats or yams....especially in show prep, they are my only carb sources.
