Diets suggestions for weight cutting 16lbs in 2 days
As my title suggests I am a wrestling and jiu jitsu competitor. Since high school I have been cutting weight for tournaments and have it down pretty good but I am sure that there must be healthier ways or at least diets that lend themselves to be helpful for cutting for competition. Now keep in mind my weight cutting is water weight so I want to be able to put it all back on after I make weight.
Also my daily diet could probably use some work as well. I am 5' 10" 187lbs 10%bf.
Meal 1 - 5 egg white omelette with mushrooms, toast, orange and oatmeal
Workout 2.5 hours wrestling
Meal 2 - Protein shake
Meal 3 - 2 scoops whey and 1 can tuna
Run 7 miles
Meal 4 - 10oz chicken brown rice, veg
Meal 5 - 10 oz salmon yogurt peach
Workout - 2 hours jiu jitsu
Meal 6 - 10oz chicken brown rice, veg
That is my mon- fri schedule and also mon, wed, fri I add in 1 hour of weights.
Saturdays also 3 hours of wrestling but nothing else.
24hours before weigh ins I've been not eating only drinking water and then day of shed about 8-10 pounds in the sauna sweat suit and everything, I've cut up to 16lbs in the sauna but was too drained of energy to perform well after. I want to know if there are any better diets that I can stick with before hand to keep my energy levels as high as possible or check if there are any critiques to my diet as is

definitely not too healthy to cut 16 lbs in 2 days. cut out sodium and dehydrating the hell out of yourself would be the best option. why not just shed some bodyfat before your next fight so you dont have to cut so much water?

Yeah I know that the weight cutting is terribly unhealthy for me but its such an integral part of the sport its hard to avoid. I probably should drop a bit of bodyfat. season is just starting so I'll be back to around 7% before too long it's just the time before hand that is killer. But even with my bodyfat at its lowest I'm going to be cutting at 10 lbs
