drinking alcohol when training
i know this is proberbly i silly question so would like it if people dont rip me for this but is it possible to drink alcohol in moderation when training and dieting?
as i said dont rip me lol

It should be ok, moderation is the key and is also relative. What exactly do you consider moderation?

Im one of those people that once ive had one drink i cant stop, i therefore try not to drink, and if im on a cycle i never drink. As ms said it should be ok in moderation, depending on what you call moderation..

first pint is surpose to actually raise ur test apparently but after that it starts to drop dramaticaly so enjoy ur pint lol!

first of all Im a scotch drinker, lol. Beer for me is in the summer. But yes I believe that it will hold you back a bit, jmo. Look at it this way, why go through all of that hard work and dedication not knowing your full potential. In my case I am following everything by the book. From training, diet, cardio nutrition, rest, water intake, etc. Also this is my first cycle. This way I have no excuses! Ya know what I mean. Besides, here in Chicago theres snow everywhere. Would you rather be outside in this crap or in the gym???

yeah well it would be cool if people didnt keep knocking over my beer at the gym sooo *L*
i personally dont drink anyway ....but depending on goals and expectations...i see where in moderation it would be not too detrimental ..i see no benefit to it of course... know they are empty calories and alcohol is processed like a toxin in our body (like many things) ...

do you guys drink when you are on a cycle. When i say drink i mean 2-3 drink/ week? i love to drink a glass of red wine when i eat my steak. what about you?

i like to drink 2 glass of red wine once a week on a meal. not more on a cycle.

nothing wrong with that sam. Drinking is my one flaw LOL. But I don't cheat whatsoever in my diet, plus it helps keep me sane. Not much else to do in rural Wisconsin on the weekends than tip back a few with the boys. Is it good for me? No. I can try to justify it all I want, but as long as I'm still seeing the results I want to see, It's a decision I make. If and when I want to take my training to the next level then it's just not going to be an option for me anymore.

Say you know you're going to a buddys house, what can you drink some off that won't make you look like a gimp when you pull it out of the bag? Anykind of drink that isn't as bad as the rest?

nothin wrong with a glass of wine in the evening. but short of that, it's going to be detrimental after 3 drinks in a night. not so say some don't do it, but that's the point in which it starts to have negative effects.
