    On the road diet help

I am on the road (sales) a ton every week and find it hard to keep my diet in check. I just started TRT six weeks ago and my test levels are above high normal. I am about 21% BF 5'10" and 240.

Can anyone point me to a thread about this or have any suggestions or tips for life on the road? I know cardio will play a huge role in dropping the lb's - I just need to eat better and more often - but what - when you are driving 6 hours a day?

Thanks for the help in advance!

being on the road sucks. the only way to go is to get a cooler or big lunch box and pre make all your food before you hit the road. my roommate travels quite a bit and he eats a lot of turkey chili straight out of the can.

the cooler is a great idea. Do you have an iphone? get the lose it app. It is free. You can use it to figure out what to eat from restaurants and keep track of where your macros are all day in real time so if you have to you can get back on track. This app has revolutionized my eating habits. Good luck.

Thanks - I have a company crackberry. I read some posts on that iphone app - sounds pretty cool.

I would have thought this would be a topic a lot of people would be interested in. There has to be a ton of us "road warriors" that want to eat better. And I wouldnt think most don't have the time or the ability to follow 3/4 of the diets out there.

I am a mad max, I drive from Minneapolis to Chicago weekly. Here are some tips I have found:

    1) Beef Jerky
    2) Pack a cooler every morning, or before you go to bed at night
    3) Wendy's Chicken salad w/ no dressing and chili on the side
    4) Skim Milk
    5) Get a gallon jug, and put 8-10 scoops of protein in there, fill with H20. Sip this throughout the day. Make sure its ice cold when you start your day tho.
    6) Chewing gum, diet soda
    7) keep a food log

these are things that have helped me keep it clean in the past

I feel ya bro. Its tough. It seems like your options are so limited. I got lots of good ideas by just walking up and down EVERY aisle of the grocery store. There are lots of ideas you have never thought of lurking in the shelves.
