How Do You Have Your OatMeal!!
Hi all,
Ok this may seem funny but actually ive never had oatmeal before lol xD
So how do you eat it ? Just open the can and munch on them ? add skimmed milk ? blend it with protein shake ? or what exactly to do ?
Opinions please ... how do you have yours?

I make mine with water, and that's it.
But I've always kinda liked plain food.

my morning meal consists of 1 cup dry oats, 1 banana, 1.5 cups of water. Throw it in a blender, and you got yourself a nice drink to wash down the 6 eggs (4 of which are whites of course.)
I want to experiment with just throwing the 6 eggs raw in with the rest of the shake...anyone done it before?? it would definitely save a lot of time.

I cook em like it says on the package. Then I put em in a blender, add a teaspoon of peanut butter and a cup of 1% milk then mix and drink.

Read the following, and your oats consumption will change forever!
I put my oats in a coffee grinder/blender, blend it for 5 seconds until it becomes a powder, mix it with water and chug it! QUICK and easy

Chewing your oats (as oppose to chopping them up and drinking them) is the best option in terms of digestion/absorption and lower GI.

Well chewing is the natural process that the body uses to breakdown food and absorb the nutrients. Sure your body is still going to breakdown and absorb nutrients through drinking your oats but I have always heard chewing is far superior. Plus when you grind up the oats you are raising the GI (slightly). IMO if you have the time to cook and chew your oats this is the best option, but if you are running short of time then grinding them up in the blender and chugging them is fine too!
