    cheat meals

hi guys just a few questions for the guru's...
ive got my first natural competition comin up and my diet is strict.. im 12 weeks out, 90mm- 9 site skin folds.. im doin cardio at 70% of my heart rate for 1hour a day(7days a week) and also weight training 6-7 days a week
im dropping water and body fat pretty quick
diet: meal 1 after cardio- 80gm of oats with water and 6 egg whites

    meal 2- 160gm chicken breast ,125gm brocolli, 125gm cucumber, 120gm basmati rice

meal 3-160gm chicken breast ,125gm brocolli, 125gm cucumber, 120gm basmati rice

meal 4-160gm chicken breast, 125 gm brocolli, 125gm cucumber

meal 5-160gm tuna and spring water, 250gm green vege

meal 6- 80gm tuna and 6 egg whites

the question is does anyone add cheatmeals? alot of people tell me to add once a fortnight some have it weekly and others dont at all.. its supposed to spike metabolism or some shit..
also if i were to drink the sugar free redbull once a week would it dramatically effect the outcome of my cutting diet...???

Some believe cheat meals are completely unnecessary and have no beneficial effect on the metabolism. Some believe that they are absolutely essential on a weekly basis to keep your metabolism elevated.

In my opinion, if you are making steady progress with your weight loss while dieting, why change anything? I wouldn't implement the cheat meal until the results begin to slow or even come to a halt. Cheat meals can be useful way of overcoming diet plateaus.

But until then, if it aint broke, don't fix it.

I see your point. Going on my first diet this spring/summer. Was thinking something like start off with eating whatewer I want, then take it easy the last ours before bedtime. ? Plenty of karbs.

I believe in cheat meals within reason. When you get lean enough and you have a cheat meal you can notice changes in your body straight away. However WWhen i use the word cheat meal i dont mean maccas and kfc.I normally have a meal with the same protein in it as the other meals and heaps of carbs as many as i can stomach in 1 sitting.Eg 300g chicken with 300g rice in a curry or something simaliar.Maybe a pasta dish. The next day in the gym your body seems to thrive from it and you look bigger harder and leaner its crazy.I always have it for lunch then do some light cardio before tea just to burn off any excess carbs before bed

Yeah. If you are on a diet low in carbs you can have like two days with more but healthy carbs. Not sweets, ice cream and cookies.
