    eggs...whole or just the whites?

im constantly hard boiling eggs for the protein, plus i dont mind the taste.i feel they are easy and quick.

Im just wondering, eat the whole egg or just the whites? Is eating the whole egg really that bad?

Woah, I think that's a bit strong. A yolk is definitely not empty calories, unless a protein, a range of vitamins and ***** fatty acids "empty" calories. Sure, you shouldn't have too many because the fat content could get up there (you wouldn't eat a cup of nuts either, but they have their place in a diet). I would keep the yolks at around 2-3 a day, or maybe even 4 depending on their time you'd have them (what's up with people thinking you should only eat eggs in the morning? ).

Oh, and please none of the cholesterol freaks. There is a difference between dietary cholesterol and blood cholesterol. (hint: that red meat we're all eating can do a lot more harm than an extra egg yolk would ever come close to doing)

i'd stay away from the yolk past one egg. this is common knowledge... i agree that there are benefitial ingredients in the yolk, but the high cholestrol levels outweight the goodness of the yolk...

My doctor said that the average person shouldn't go over 4 yolks a week.

Maybe during bodybuilding/weight training you could fit another 2-3 in there. (body requiring extra nutrients?)

Studies have shown that dietary cholesterol does not affect blood cholesterol.

About 50% of the fat in the yolk are good fats that we get to little of.

Eat your eggs and look good, feel good and be healthy.

You must understand the relationship between dietary cholesterol and lipidemia. Not to mention the effects of ***** fatty acids on combating this.

You include beef into your diet don't you? But you won't go past one egg yolk?

I dont cut my yokes until 8 weeks out. Until then I usually do a 1 yoke for every 2-3 whites.
