    switching to bulking

    i am 5'6 150lb body fat % ?

    my diet is

    2310 cals
    213g protein ( 36% )
    252g of carbs (43 % )
    55g of fat (21%)

so obviously im just simply maintaining my current weight of 150lb

im preparing to switch to a bulk, roughly jumping up to 3500 calorie diet

my question is once i get up to 165lb-170lb with my 3500 calorie diet and i want to stay at that weight,

i just switch back to my 2310cal diet just to maintain the 165lb the same way i maintain the 150lb weight ?

may be a dumb question, but i never been above 160lb so i dont really know how my body is going to react...logically im sure i could just bulk up with the 3500 cal diet, then reach my goal at 165lb and switch back and maintain it with 2310cals

The answer is probably somewhere in between those numbers. Unless you are super active with a very fast metabolism 3500 calories is more than needed to maintain 165lbs.

my metabolism isnt really that fast..basically i dont wanna bulk up to 165lb then switch back to my 2310 diet and slowly lose weight back to 150lb
