lEAN STEAK IS LEAN STEAK RITE?
I'm a little jammed up tire now with cash so instead of Sirloin I picked up some beef round steak for $1.50 cheaper per lb.I looked it up on the calorie counter but I don't know exactly how accurate that is.The steaks I bought had zero fat so my question is will they effect my condition on a negativly cause of quality of steak even know they had no fat?I eat them at night and they definetly tasted not as good.

you should be fine...but being a lower cut of beef, you may want to marinate them for a day or two or pound the hell out of them to tenderize them !!

Just for shits and giggles check out my progress roughly 7 weeks.
Pic in the red pants was the start.1st pic was 30 days later last pic was 5 weeks in and the 3rd pic was after 3 day calorie surge I traded my slow digesting carbs for starchy's and added bananas and natty peanut butter throughout the 3 days.Last edited by dedic8ed1; 04-13-2009 at 07:45 PM.

You should checkout your local paper, where they usually have the for sale ads for walmart, bi-lo, etc. Usually one of the major grocery store chains will have some sales on lean sirloin, london broil, etc. Just look for the deals and you should be able to budget it in.

i eat alot of chep cuts of beef. i like to marinade them for a day in low sodium marinades.youll crap your pants when u see how much salt is in some maranades so be carefull. also i like to use assorted dry rubs for flavor.but in the end when you eat beef and brown rice or chicken and rice all day, everyday, it still gonna suck somewhat. but we gotta do what we gotta do.

Shop rite for boneless breast when it's on sale $1.99 lb.Buy a 15lb turkey usually about $1.19 lb part it out and you'll get a good amount.Eggs a cheap at Target usually about $1.50 a dozen and local mom and pop produce sell eggs like 3 dozen for $3.50 3lb bag of sweet potatos $2.50.Shop rite oats quick oats 1.99 for a big can.Target runs sales on solid white Tuna $99. a can.Shop rite does salmon on sale for $4.50 a lb.Also they run sales on sirloin $4.50 lb.Whole grain bread Arnold's $2.00 or shop rite whole grain 12 grain $1.50.You gotta stock up when stuff's on sale.Just my carbs for the week cost less then $10.00.My protein from all the sources I listed maybe $30.00 between all my meals portioned out.Good luck and stay on top of the sales.
