Sources of Good fats for Keto Diet
I am on the slingshot diet and currently started Keto today. I just want to know if I am missing any sources of good fats.
I know this is bad, but I DO NOT like fish at all. Only tuna, both in a can and tuna steaks. Actually, i'm lying. I do like fish but the ones like salmon and such with the good efa's, i do not like.
Anyways, here is what i have so far. Any other suggestions would be great:
Almonds
Avacados
All Natural Peanut Butter
Flax Oil
Vitamin Shoppe 3-6-9 oil (nasty)
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Peanuts
Low Fat Mayo (used sparringly with the tuna in a can)
Any other suggestions?

Peronally I would only be having the nut oils and not the nuts themselves. Much easier to control macro's that way, as there are some inherent carbs and proteins in the nuts.
Good oils:
Almond oil
EVO oil
Walnut oil
Fish oil
Macadamia oil
Avacado oil
Pistachio oil
That should be good enough for you to get through. No need for mayo and flax oil or peanut butter.

REALLY? I cant have my peanut butter? HAHHA that blows. So wait, your saying oils themselves (specifically the ones you have mentioned) are good enough for my keto diet?

-try to make sure the almonds/nuts are raw. (the carbs contained will be from fiber so they should not effect your calorie count negatively)
-natural organic peanut butter is fine.
-0mega-3 egg yolks
-all the oils mentioned above. EVOO is best in my opinion. 2nd would be macademia nut oil.
-I don't like the use of cottage cheese or any dairy's for that matter while on keto. (Other than in your cheat meal)
-Liquid fish oils are great. (They dont taste like fish)

You CAN have them if you want. But if you are doing a keto diet you are obviously tryint to decrease bf%. Peanut butter is difficult to measure accurately and those little differences make a BIG difference at the end of a couple months.
Stick with oils, specifically the ones I mentioned above and you will be in good shape.
No need for a 3-6-9 blend as you have no requirement for 9, your body can manufacture it from other sources. I would be trying to get the majority of your fats from sources of w3, and fish oils.

Ok sounds good. What is a good fish oil? I assume not to take caps and to have an actual oil.
Any suggestions in that department?
I bought both EVOO and Walnut Oil yesterday (thats all they had besides Basil Dipping Oil)

if you choose to go the all oils route, make sure you get at least 2-3 servings of leafy greens per day and/or a fiber supplement.

stupid question: how do you "take" these oils?? just shoot in mouth, or can I pour over veggies (like olive oil on top of some broccoli)?

well if you want to just have straight like that in your mouth go ahead.
things like nuts can be eaten straight like that of course
avocado can have it with like your protein source what ever that maybe.
of course fish oil come in caps, which of course you will have it through the mouth.
Umm if you want to have olive oil, it makes sense to have it on a salad or something like that..

I have a problem with burping up the nasty taste and smell of the capsules so I just like to use extra virgin olive oil

Im assuming you are referring to fish oil caps. You should really reconsider, if you are relying on your body converting ALA to EPA and DHA you aren't going to be getting much. Fish will give you the best benefits by far imo.
Your body is very poor at converting w-3 into EPA and DHA and by simply relying on one source of oil (EVOO) you are not going to get much.
Just take a wack of fish oils directly before the meal then eat your food. May help to settle some of the burping.
I take in over 30 fish oils caps everyday and never have any issues with burping.
