    8lbs in 2 weeks

I need to lose 8-10 lbs by july 18 for an up coming Arm Wrestling tournament. Weight for the heavy weights is 211lbs up so i need to hit Middle weight so I don't get killed during this tournament. Anyhow what is a good way to drop ten lbs in 9 days? Im thinking 1gal water to flush although the water may be bad because of water retention? Drop my carbs and planning on 2 mile run a day till day or 2 before comp to rebuild str and stamina and energy.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. TY

yes fireguy always has good advice. I just figure I will be fatigue alot more quickly if I do not have the water in my body. One thing I do not want to lose is strength before this tournament. Anyone else with some advice im open to it. TY

Only way to lose that much weight in that amount of time is through water manipulation. You can do that through carb depleting for a few day prior to the meet and running your water intake very high then cutting the water completely 18 hours or so before you have to weigh in. You can also run your sodium very high for a week or so then cut it back to near zero 24-36 hours before weigh in. This in conjunction with the carb deplete will have you spending most of time at the urinal the day before the show. Now....being carb and sodium depleted is going to sap your strength really really bad. Your best bet is if you can weigh in 24 hours in advance then get some carbs and sodium back in your system prior the the tournament. Good luck. If you choose to go this route and have questions on the amount of carbs, sodium and water let me know and I will set you up. There is always the sauna too.

You know, I didnt even think of it (cause I was thinking in the terms of shortcuts only) but you could easily drop 4 lbs of fat in that time as well by busting your ass doing cardio and then 4lbs of water is a piece of cake.

Cutting that beard might save you a pound or two as well. :-)
