Better to have a shake then nothing at all.......whole food is obviously better....but a shake when needed is no bad thing..

I think everyone agrees that whole food is better than shakes but.....unless you are getting ready for a contest or really trying to dial yourself in at a very low bf% a couple meal replacement shakes in your daily diet is not going to set you back. Off season I have 2-3 per day and still get 4 real food meals in. Just be sure and pick one that isnt loaded with sugar.

Fireguy. I'm a teacher where I don't have a break in the morning and afternoon and have to drink shakes. I make my own with oats, whey, casein, and olive oil. Is this a decent mrp? I might try to eat 2-3oz of chicken instead of the whey/casein and drink the oats and olive oil real fast. You know how kids can be so I don't want to draw too much attention to myself always eating, which is why I could slam the shake down in 10 seconds. Is the whey/casein blend ok or would chicken really make a difference?

muscle milk has everything your body needs after a good workout, the fat in the muscle milk is not the kind of bad fat. there are different types of fat, the fat that is in muscle milk is actually a energy your body needs,
The Fat in Muscle Milk
Muscle Milk has a high fat content. However, this is not a bad thing--the fat in muscle milk is medium chain triglycerides, which are easier to absorb and burn. This fat also has a low calorie content.
check out this review of muscle milk it explains what all is in it.
