I wanted to cut down on protien powder so I started adding raw eggs to my shakes to boost the protien. I tried downing some raw eggs and it wasnt that bad so I have been hitting them a couple times a day for the extra protien.

raw eggs are not recomended, reason, well there is a possiblity of salmonella poisoning, and also cooking does not take the value out of the egg, infact, raw egg takes more time to be absorbed than when cooked, and if thats the case, what about chicken, its not going to be a pleasure to eat that raw.lol... still i've seen a lot of bodybuilders even now consume raw eggs, n they are just fine... but cooking it is the rite way to go

About 142,000 Americans are infected each year with Salmonella enteritidis from eggs, the result of an infected hen passing along the bacterium. About 30 die." ( wikipedia)

salmonella poisoning is caused by chicken poo if your worried about it you can wash the shells before you crack them,

as i said earlier, i myself know a lot of people who have consumed raw eggs and are just fine, well i myself have done it one a few occasions as it is convenient... that said, i still would say that its better to cook em.

The egg whites in dairy section are pasteurized .

I believe these are better choice .

    2x cost 1 dozen eggs .

I know that wasn't question , but adds easibility and can pack in a lunch or freeze .
