How much water do you drink a day?

Just wanted to get an idea of how much everyone drinks on a consistent basis. I know I try to drink as much as I can but it is hard to fit the recommended amount in every day. It is admittedly one of my weaker points but I have been making a concerted effort lately to try to up the water intake.

On a good day I can get about 3/4 of a gallon in but usually not much more. I really try but somehow at the end of the day I always come up short of the gallon I try to get. Only way I am getting a gallon in is if I am out working all day and it is in the summer, I can easily get a gallon in then. But that is only a small part out of the year.

I mean you literally have to chug it all day long to get a gallon plus IMO, plus I usuallly get a good 9-10 hours of sleep which cuts into my time as well compared to a lot of people I am guessing.

So how much on average does everyone get??

I am going to go with 1/2 right now, but I am working on it!

I keep a couple gallons in the freezer 1/2 full and then put them in the fridge and constantly rotate them.

Even carrying around a gallon everywhere I went in a day I do not think I couyld finish 2 whole gallons.

I have no idea how you do it, that is ridiculous.

I carry an aquafina bottle (I find its easier to carry around in my lifestyle and I tend to drink more from that than when I carried a gallon jug around with me) around with me everywhere I go, its 1 liter and I drink about 6 of them a day so approximately 1.5 gallons (if my conversion is about right), I usually drink about 1.5 liters just while working out. I've made it a habit to drink some after every set

Not nearly enough - probably about a quart (32oz). This is one of those important little things that's relatively easy to do and I just don't do it. I really need to get on the ball with this, I am probably hindering my own progress.

I used to be in this boat too @ 2-3 quarts per day, but then I went out and got some Fruit Punch Crystal Light and now I have about 2-3 quarts Crystal Light @ home and 2-3 quarts water when I'm out, and if you count the water in coffee - another 3 cups there lol.

Be careful - i'm not 100% sure your body 'sees' water when it's mixed with anything else. I know that your brain doesn't; it's stubborn and wants pure H2O.

Yeah crystal light and coffee do not count in my book LOL.

    Water is water.

I would say the same for Red Bull.

We are not talking about "liquids that resemble water" here.

I saw on a post from a vet -forget where- that crystal light does count & to make his point he exaggerated and said sh!t mixed in water would count as water intake because water is an ingredient...

I wasn't going to have any crystal light until I saw that post - started drinking it & started to drink a hell of a lot more water and feel better.
