I add enough milk to cover them, microwave it for 3 mins and stir mid way through.

Add 1 tsp of honey for taste if needed.

Maybe not the absolute heathiest way but they taste great. Every morning I cant wait to get my porridge.

For 1/2 cup of dry oats, add 1 cup of water, microwave for 1 min 30 secs. Stir in 2-3 splenda or stevia, a good amount of cinnamon, I add a splash of fat free half and half to 'creamy' it up, and finally a handful of blueberries. I look forward to it every morning!

For my PWO shake, I just mix raw oats in there and chew em up - I actually enjoy that too.

In the morning I heat about 60g of oats in a bowl with just water and a little bit of milk and then I add in 1/2 scoop of whey protein (for some fast acting protein right in the AM) and it's absolutely delicious.

Then for my PWO meal I have 2 scoops of whey protein mixed with water and then I just throw in about 70g of oats and drink it, also tastes delicious!

    excellent ways.

i never thought of half and half. but natural sweeteners like blueberries and honey is right on.

i know some complain about the price of honey, but its the best natural sweetener.

*** get 100 percent natural honey, there is a world of taste difference. find a local beekeeper / honey seller. and take it home by the gallon, thats what i do. my father turned me on to that. you just wont believe the taste difference and the super price youll get from the bee keeper.

I have mine with oat milk (lactose intolerant), goji berries, sunflower seeds, cashews and almonds. That way you don't need the artificial sweetners or honey.

    Certainly gets me going

I eat my oats plain but after reading some of the ideas like blending them up in a shake and the other recipes I think I'm gonna change it up a bit.

I'd be a bit more leary about fruit if you were on a strict cut, but first thing in the morning is an exception IMO. Berries are great, much lower GI than most fruits, and filled with fiber, antioxidants, vitamins, etc.

Just use water. You can add a bit of fat free half and half which will thicken it up and give it a creamy consistency like cooking it with milk would have - but with fewer carbs.

I posted this above already - but I use 1/2 cup oats, 1 cup water, microwave for 1 min 30 secs. Stir in 2-3 splenda or stevia, a few tbsp of FF half and half, a good amount of cinnamon, and a big handful of blueberries. I look forward to it every single morning!

Tried them in my protein shake for the first time, not bad at all. Good fast easy carbs.

A little splenda goes a long ways as well

On way to gym I dip spoon in natty peanut butter and dip in dry oats .
Must have plenty of water .
Very filling and time consuming to eat while waiting in rush hour traffic .

Protein shake. Mine changes all the time; this is my standard protein shake right now:

    1 banana
    1 cup egg whites pasteurized
    1 cup skim milk
Half a container of fat free strawberry yogurt
    1 cup oats

I do it all by eye sight now not really measuring these days. You will have to find out what works for you but trust me if you mix them in the blender with some other stuff you won't even taste them.
