Bad diet for the weekend = good gains?

So this weekend I fell way off my diet was drinking heavily. Typically I eat very clean mostly chicken and brown rice and fish with some steak. This weekend I ate garbage food, drank like a fish basically did everything your not suppose to do. Yet I gained 7lbs and lost 3% bf. How is this even possible?

    Stats before:
    6'1"
    175
    8.2%bf

    After:
    182
    5%bf

    Gear

It's probably water weight. How are you measuring your BF%? I have a hard time believing your 5% also.

This measurement came from my scale that measures body fat. I know its not the most accurete way to measure. I have had caliper tests and done a underwater test too. I've always been below 8% even before working out. The underwater test I was at 4% this was a few years ago though when I played sports.

I don't know bro, if you maintained 4% bodyfat, you'd be a walking dead man. Let's see some pics.

Happens to a lot of bbers post contest- it depends on how low carb and clean you were eating but it happens alot with cheat meals and post contest pig outs.

Not saying this is actually the reason but like maxdose says, if you intense diet and your body is used to specific macros of high protein, then its suddently hit with high fat high carb from cheating, it can increase metabolic rates. Ive seen a couple studies stating such.

I hope when you say scale you do not mean a scale on the ground that tells you what you weight. "Not the most accurate" is ridiculously understated. A body builder that weight 225 and a fatass that weighs 225 will have the same body fat according to your scale.
