    Red meat

Well, what would you guys say the "safe" amount of red meat per day would be?

I love steak and I could eat it all day but I don't want any heart problems and such. Like today I ate 2lbs of steak on top of other meat.

What would you say are the benefits of eating red meat? Also, what would you say is bad about it?

    Any suggestions welcome!

Lean red meat is fine, i would not worrie about how much u take in

I was watching a video where dave pallumbo was talking about why red meat is better for gaining that chicken or whey for eg...

He listed reasons including the inflamatory properties in beef

I will find the video l8r and post it up

Eat as much as you want, so long as it all fits into your daily protein/fat allotment. Red meat in particular is loaded with (natural) creatine.

Having said that, I prefer to get my proteins from multiple sources to ensure a full spectrum of amino's.

Good to hear, I hope you guys are right, because I've been eating about 2 lbs of lean steak per day for the past week or so and planning on keeping it this way for a long time ahead.

true. but cooking red meat will destroy the creatine that is in there. If you are looking for the benefits of creatine in your red meat, the rarer the better!

    I see.

I never cook my meat anyway, takes too long. Usually just throw it on the frying pan and have it there for about 5 minutes then eat it.

Huh? You "never cook my meat", yet you "throw it on the frying pan and have it there for about 5 minutes"?????????????

If that's not cooking it, then what is it????????

    Ya got me confused, mate!

I try to eat 4 different sources of protein a day. Normally I will get in some eggs, whey, chicken and then beef and fish are switched from day to day. Its been working well for me.
