I grill my chicken and season with Zatarain's Blackened Seasoning. I love it!

No answer for rice. I don't like it and don't really eat it much. When I do I just add some vegetables in it like bell peppers, onions, green beans, peas, carrots, etc.

Rice and veg is good. I like seasoning all of it with lime, salt, pepper, and cilantro.

    Look up arabic recipes.

I eat all types of food because I live in a country where good tasting food is a priority. Now, there are some very healthy types of sauces you can make to put on your food. My personal all time favorite if something called "Molokhia", basically it's a variant of spinach, and when spiced correctly and with some hot sauce thrown on, it taste like heaven.

Not just arabic recipes, but any country which eats rice as it's primary source of cabs will have many ways to spicen up their rice, after all they've been perfecting the dishes for thousands of years.

Get whatever seasoning u can for ur chicken and dont over cook it!

For rice, go with basmati rice

    1cup rice - 2 cup water

Wash rice first, drain, put water in, lid on bring to boil, stir once, reduce flame to as low as possible, stir every 2mins or so

Cook untill all water gone, basmati is the best taste, tastes nutty like popcorn

Season the chicken, chop them up in square pieces and throw them in a bowl full of rice and black beans.

    My fav:
Grill chicken, measure and chop it up, mix with the rice. little bit of soy sauce for that chinese flavor. Good to go. You can also add onions, seasoning, whatever you want just fit it into the macros for the meal/day.

add chicken stock to your water low sodium is always good, adds lots of flavor to the rice. Also celery, carrots, mushrooms, onions, peppers... add them raw to the water to cook them up before the water boils. I like to add an egg to it as well.... scrambled or over easy are good. As for the chicken, grab a bunch of different spices so nothing ever gets repetitive. Lots of different ways you can mix it up, stir fry, add soya... mix it up!

I used thigh fillet and then I trim-off the fats and use fresh rosemary, kosher salt, and pepper for seasoning. Slow cook in medium heat. Just like what baseline 9 said "don't overcook your chicken"
For your rice, buy some basmati brown rice at trader joe's it taste more better than those regular brown rice.

    Neither am I.

Can't stand brown rice it is so damn bland....just terrible.

Chicken I just add a tiny bit of barbecue sauce on top, add some seasoning and throw it in the oven for 30 minutes.

Agreed! Rice is just plain BORING.

For the chicken, try a simple marinade. I do this every weekend: 1 cup of lemon juice, 1 cup of extra virgin olive oil, 4 cloves of garlic, salt, pepper, and some parsley (or cilantro for a more lemony flavor, OR basil if you want a little sweet flare). Blend well in a blender or food processor, marinade your chicken overnight and grill the next day. Delish!

My girl made me chicken Adobo last night. In a nutshell you dive up 1 whole clove of garlic. Brown it. Brown the chicken. Add vinegar and soy sauce and bay leaves and that's it. Cook it until the chicken is falling off of the bone. It's really good, I am addicted. Google the recipe
