Question Natural Peanut Butter vs Peter Pan

I always see people talking about Natty/Natural Peanut Butter in the threads; however, I've always taken 2 Tbsp Peter Pan creamy peanut butter before bed.

What exactly is Natural Peanut Butter and who makes it? I've seen some Skippy Natural Peanut Butter and a few others but when compared to the Peter Pan which has 150 calories of fat they had 100 which wasn't that much of a difference in my opinion.

Is there a Natural Peanut Butter that is much better or different the the Peter Pan I love so much? Does it taste like crap? Thanks in advance.

mmmmm made me go and have some celery with peanut butter..
You should be able to find natty PB in almost any supermarket..There is less to no sugar in the natty PB.. Price and flavor is dependent on maker..

Skippy Natural is not acceptable as a 'natural' peanut butter as it has added sugar and palm oil. Real natural peanut butter should contain nothing but peanuts, and possibly sea salt. Macro wise, it's nearly identical to regular PB's, but you're not putting the extra crap in your body.

Regular peanut butter has a bunch of sugar and salt and other crap you don't really need. Especially if you are eating it before bed. Go to a health food type store and they should have "all natural real peanut butter" With no added sugar, salt or whatever. I personally like a spoonful a day for some "good" fats.

I love peanut butter and could eat even more per day than the 2Tbsp I take before bed but don't want to take to much because of the fat. I'll have to check out the health food store and if it's a little lower perhaps I can supplement that with the almonds I take during the day here and there. Thanks for the info.

LoL X2 - WAY too easy to overeat! Try fish oil caps instead - NOBODY is going to OD on those.

Pretty much any nuts are a good choice - in fact, almonds are probably better then peanuts if anything. They have places that grind peanuts right in front of you to make a 'peanut butter' - freshest and cleanest choice available.

I just bought some Smuckers after reading great reviews about it. It is definitely "natural", I figured out that it has to have the oil at the top or it is not natural. Don't you know the Jif I bought last time it was already mixed in and the texture was totally different, even though it claimed to be "natural".

They only had the creamy and that stuff is freaking thin as hell, almost watery even after mixing in the oil. It did say store in the fridge which I do not usually do so maybe that will harden it up a little bit.

The nutrition facts are close but not exactly the same, 2 less carbs/sugar per serving and only 2.5g of sat fat instead of 3 per serving in the regular.

It tastes different, but I can't really describe it. Like more flavor or something I can't put my finger on it but definitely better.
