What to eat on "off days"

Here is my thread of what I eat...
    http://forums.steroid.com/showthread...tball-receiver)

I was wondering what I should do for off days... like saturdays and sundays and also today (snow day) When we don't have football & also the tech fit gym is closed on snow days, and Saturdays. Do I do my normal meals and normal protein shakes? I do go to the gym on my own on Sunday nights just like I do Monday through Thursdays nights alsod.

It should be the same routine with a variety of good food choices everyday. As far as your training goes, if your not overworking your body and your getting the proper amount of rest, then I would say go to a six day workout routine ( although I would limit it to cardio or cross training) IMO.

I eat the same on off days. My total calories are lower just based on no PWO shake being present but I don't make a conscious effort to eat differently. Your recovery is largely based on what you eat on "off" days, so you should eat just as if you're training.

I agree with this 100%. I see alot of people carb cycling these days, and while it makes perfect sense and i'm certain brings good results... well I just don't want to have to remember several different 'diets' at once.

Without my PWO shake, I am knocking 50g protein and 50g carbs off of my diet. That's 400 calories lower and is right around where I want to be anyway on non-training days, so this works perfectly for me.
