    protein question

    My weight is 180 lbs. .protein intake should be 1.5 to 2x body weight right?.OK if I eat 2 lbs. Chicken breast everyday.that's roughly 270 g.protein intake. Will that be sufficient to gain my mass along with another 100.? grams protein from other sources

    Well, it should be based on lean body mass, not just weight. For example, if you're very lean (~10% body fat) then 2g per lb. of LBM would be 300g. Also, Unless your total calories are rather low, I think 2g is excessive unless you're on an aggressive cycle or are a "hard-gainer" so to speak. So yes, I think 270g protein is plenty for you. Your total calories, energy sources, and overall makeup of the diet is more important.
