cardio while bulking - please advise
well right now im bulking, but i want to do some cardio while i bulk, becuase i believe i tend to gain fat easily, and i want to just do it for healthy-heart reasons as well.
i have a few questions about what type of cardio i should do to be most beneficial while not having to worry about losing muscle or severely slowing my gains.
-Is there an optimal time to do cardio? Like in the morning, afternoon, after workout, etc.
-How intense should the cardio be? and how often? Ive heard 20 minutes at 60% maximum heart rate 2-3 times a week. does that sound right?
-Should i do the cardio on an empty stomach? If no, what would be a good thing to eat?
-What should i have to eat after the cardio?
Currently, I just lightly jog in the morning for 20 minutes (but i usually have whey in water before the cardio becuase i just got up out of bed and havent eating anything for 8-9 hours.) is that alright? and then after the cardio i usually just have a normal breakfast of eggs and oatmeal.
can anyone give me some recomendations?

DOn't you do any physical activities like basketball or swim? That would be enough cardio there...

since your bulking, dont go for max results when your on the treadmill or whatever.
Just get in maybe 30 mins in every day, or 3 times a week with a solid healthy bulking diet.
I wouldnt worry about your target heart rate since your goal is to gain some weight but not tons.
How much are yuou wanting to bulk up? do you have a weight? or are you shooting for lean mass growth?

Doing cardio 2 maybe 3 times a week for 20-30 minutes shouldn't hurt. Just keep your calories up and if you're not gaining back off the cardio a little.

I do cardio when I bulk, just increase my cals after it a little. Cardio makes me feel so much better. I get all slow and unflexible when I don't do cardio. I just feel like shit without at least 2-3 times a week at 20-30mins.

I've seen swole cover this many times in the Work Out forum, that is really a more appropriate place for this question seeing as this is not diet related. Do a search in the other forum.

Swear this is the last post about this if you can just give it to me str8 up......weekends I can crank the carbs if that would be benefitial........triple the oats, fruits, breads, whatever you think will work.
