Can you die of thirst on the ocean ?
Why ? Your body has to dilute chemicals . Hence to much sodium and body isn't properly diluted = retain water before death .
If you read diet soda ingredients , you can't even pronounce 1/2 the words and the other ones = sodium derivatives . Anti freeze smells sweet and you cant drink that .
Water or small regular soda with lots of ice = happy day .
Just my opinion on pop with no real knowledge .
Good luck
dont wanna be old

Take a bottle of coco-cola and put it in a glass. GO to Wall-Mart or whatever and buy some brand new nails. Put 1 in a glass of pop overnight. Come back in the morning and it will be rusted and eroded. That is what you are doing to your body by drinking pop. There is no nutritional value to it, and whatever pop your drinking the taste you enjoy is an artifical sweeter. 7up/Sprite is Lemon/Lime flavour+junk, Coca-cola is actually caramel+chemicals+sodium, Dr Pepper is basically the equivalent of the end cuts when you go to the butcher, the leftover stuff nobody wants, etc. Aspartame is only half the problem, the chemicals they put in are the rest.

If you have a can or two a day, I would say that this is acceptable...IMO. If your having 6 cans and up a day I would say that could be a problem. Sure they're chemicals in soda so there are also loads of chemicals in the poultry, beef, chicken etc that we all eat. If you notice that results are being hampered by consumption of diet soda then stop it.........however one to two cans a day will not be the cause of not losing weight.

Obviously you are just talking about whether it will effect your physique............Not if its healthy or not.....
Diet soda has 0 calories and the sugars are from artificial sweeteners which don't effect blood sugar levels so it shouldn't effect you too much...Technically its not healthy for you but in terms of effecting the physique its not that bad if you only take in every once in awhile...Sure is a sh*t ton better then taking in 50 grams of sugar.....
I have read some studies that do say it can possibly slow down your metabolic rate though............

I drink diet soda, on my diet and I am losing still, I see it this way, if you are trying to cut down for a show, then diet soda is not the way to go. But if you want to lose weight then I don't see much of a problem.
Healthy - no, but what is now of days.

I very much agree with this. Sure, it's not a healthy addition to one's diet - it may even be detrimental to long term health. However, from a bodybuilding stand point - having a low body fat percentage and a lot of muscle mass - it makes no difference one way or the other provided your intake of real food/water is sufficient based on your goals. I say if they help you stick to your diet or give you some small joy in life, why not have one now and then.

It will make no difference what so ever....
If it helps you stay on track (it does me) than drink as much as you need to....
It may give you cancer, but it wont make you fat!
Happy days

Ive read a bit on it and a few articles i have read said the chemicals in it just turn in to fat anyways so you may as well drink regular pop
they said in males the weight gain targets the mid-section which seems to be where all my weight is
so i stopped drinking it for like 3 months and there was no change in my weight so i just started drinking it again
