Whey vs Casein & sure it has been asked over and over
What is the real difference between whey protein shakes and casein?
And why would one prefer to take one over the other? Specifically....Life is too short, so kiss slowly, laugh insanely, love truly and forgive quickly.Author Unknown

Whey has a quicker absorption rate than casein thus entering the bloodstream quicker.
After a workout when the body is in need of nutrients and amino acids whey will be absorbed at a fast rate.
Before bed, the muscle will not need an immediate supply of aminos thus casein a slow absorbing protein will give a steady supply of aminos throughout the night.
