Transitioning from a cutting to a bulking diet

    Just planning ahead a little...

What are people's views/ experiences on transitioning from a cutting diet into a bulking diet; should I plan to do a maintenance level diet for a couple weeks to ease the calories back into my system or go straight to a bulking diet??

Once I have hit my target goal of 10% bf I would like to start a "lean bulk".

Personally, I would try maintenance for a few weeks. It will help you work out exactly what your maintenance level is, important if you are having a lean bulk.

If you jump staright into the bulk you will get what I like to call 'the rebound effect'. Your body is likely to initially bulk quite quickly over the first few weeks as it supercompensates for the dieting you have been doing. Some weight will be fat and some water. Strength tends to go up a little quicker with this approach too.
