WTF!!!! Anxious about my next meal - HELP
Okay so I've been on LBM gain type of diet for about 2 or 3 weeks now. I really screwed up last March (before joining this forum) by really reducing my calories - Was probably taking in about 1400/day. I did lose over 50lbs so it wasn't a total loss, but I'm thinking I fvcked myself now.
I joined this forum in early November, realized my mistake, and started slowly increasing my calories weekly. I've done well in terms of being able to do this increase without increasing my BF%.
A little over 2 weeks ago, I started to do a new workout program that TBody put together for my girl and I. At this point I started to increase my calories even further. This has been VERY VERY VERY difficult for me, but up until the last few days it was just a feeling of "fvck I have to eat again". The last few days everytime the clock rolls around to eating time I get this very anxious, sick, sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach. It's like that feeling you have when you know your significant other that you care about is about to end it with you. I start shaking a bit, get sick, and very stressed out that I'm going to have to eat my meal. I might add that all of my meals are tasty...it's not that they taste bad!
As I sit here...I was supposed to eat 40 min ago, but I'm dreading it so much it's making me crazy (like my heart rate is literally higher because of this).
I've only upped my caloric intake by 500 calories on lift days (2900), and maintanence on non-lift days. Today's not even a lift day and I'm feeling like this. I've been doing extra cardio and introduced HIIT training so you would think this would make want to eat more. NOPE!!!!
I've been very disciplined with diet and training and I really want to achieve my goals, but at this point I feel like I'm going insane. I don't want to eat and because I don't want to eat I think it's stressing me out. I feel like a complete idiot!!!!
Everything else in my life is great...Actually business has been surprisingly GREAT the last week and I'm very happy (so there's no other reason for me to be upset) It only happens when it comes time to eat.
So......WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH ME!!!!!
P.S. The only thing I've added this week is Purple Wraath BCAA to my fasted cardio (non lift days) and I sip on it before during and after workout. I've also went from 2 scoop whey shakes to 1 scoop whey 1 scoop casein shake.

I was the exact same way when I started and now it's the opposite, I'm a bottomless pit. One possible explanation is your foods are too "calorie-dense" for your current body at the moment. For example, I know oats fill me up twice as much as brown rice. Both are excellent carb choices, but 50g of Carbs worth of Oats feels like 100g of carbs of rice.

Hmmmm...Most of my carbs do come from oats. Lifting days my carbs are 310. Of which 1/2 are from oats...the rest are from Red Lentils, whole wheat pasta, and veggies.
The problem is today isn't even a lift day, I skipped my last meal because I just couldn't do it, and now I'm worried about the next one coming up in an hour. I mean I sweating here. I'm a freakin weirdo.
Could the BCAA's have anything to do with it???? I had them this morning on an empty stomach, but had my first two meals just fine. It's not until meal 3 that I start having the "oh fvck" feeling

My girl thinks maybe I'm just sick....but I don't feel "sick" sick...just "anxious" sick. If that makes any sense.

Bingo. There's your answer - too much caffeine. Caffeine is an appetite suppressant and could also be what's giving you that anxious type feeling. I was cutting last year and taking an ECA stack starting out at 200mg caffeine 3 times per day and ended up at 400mg 3 times per day. I dreaded every meal and struggled to get down 2600cal per day, which is crazy for me b/c I have a ridiculous appetite and can usually eat well over 4k cals per day no problem. I'd cut back on the caffeine and see if it helps.

Don't freak!!! The human body is very complex with so many things at play in terms of metabolism, fat oxidation and rebuilding the damage we cause while in the gym. 2 or 3 weeks into this and ur body is just getting used to this. Pay attention to ur body like you are!! The numbers u calculate are just estimates and if u don't hit them during 1 day, try to get it evened out on a weekly basis. If u really can't get the meals in just slowly ramp up the cals as u go
And yes too much caffeine will mess with u
