Best Protein Shakes For Post-Workout
What are the best Protein Shakes that are great for a post-workout meal, while cutting that include all that stuff like dextrose and all that other staff that you need after workouts.
I'm currently taking whey optimum protein but it has no carbs so I need to mix it with dextrose.. it kind of gets annoying.
I just want to find a solid protein shake that includes all that good staff for post-workout purposes only while cutting.

How about this for post-work while cutting....
40 g of dextrose (thats about 8 teaspoons I'm guessing) with 2 scoops of Optimum Whey Protein 44 g of Protein. And maybe adding 5 g-10 g of creatine to the shake. Also taking 5g of Glutamine seperate.
Would this be good for post-workout?
I'm over weight... I want to loose the fat but not the muscles.

my post-workout shake consists of (and I'm cutting)...
40g Optimum Whey
60g Dextrose
5g Creatine
5g Glutamine
1L Water
I sip about half the shake during my workout and polish the rest off immediately after. Then wait an hour and I'm back on the meal plan.

You'll save alot more money just buying plain protein and then adding in all the other stuff seperatly. Those powders that have everything usually costs alot more.
I do about the same as Teddy, except I have 20g of protein with a litre of water during my workout and then 20-40g with the dextrose/creatine after my workout.
I add in alot more dextrose since I'm not cutting, but I do put in probably around 60g when cutting. Cheap, works great and helps me recover after a hard workout.

I'm with dangit on this one. I too just mix in some dextrose with my protein and away I go. Also if you're looking for a weight gainer, nothing beats mixing in a cup of oats with your protein as well.
