    intermitted fasting

    Hello all Im looking for help and info on i.f
    pros cons etc
    is any one currently doing this and what are your thoughts on fasting length . when is best to have your eating period . thanks

    All depends what your goal is?
    When im cutting I like to have a 6 hour window. When im bulking ( which im doing now) I have a 8 hour window. Leangains is a brilliant diet for losing bodyfat, I lose on average 1% of bodyfat per two weeks on this diet.
    It's also working ok for me bulking too.

    Looking to burn belly fat . been out the gym now for six weeks due to work commitments lost bit of muscle and gained belly due to un healthy eating .
    looking for a solid programme to throw myself into .
    whilst doing i.f is the food u eat also important i.e micro split ?

    Yeah, leangains is'nt really a diet, it's more of a meal plan, a style of eating IE instead of eating 5 small meals every 3 hours or 3 square meals. You are eating you micros in a six hour Window. You can implement whatever micro split you please be it carb cycling, ketotis, low carb, carb only whatever.

    I like to cut my calories 500 below maintenance. Works well for me, but you could try whatever you fancy ;-)

    there is a thread dedicated to this somewhere here. i did it for a while and love it. i am now converting back to eating more meals, but that has more to do with my training
