    Breakfast

If I can avoid it I don't like to take protein powder for breakfast. Anyone have any good sources Besides eating 2 cups of egg whites?

You could do a shake with 1 cup raw rolled oats, 2tbsn wheat germ, 2 tbsn peanut butter and a banana. Bat would put you around 30grams protein. I add a scoop of protein to mine, that brings be around 55ish. Tastes killer to

Try making 3 cups of egg-white omelet on a non-stick pan with your choice of cheese in it.

You can also use some butter, EVOO or flax seed oil depending on your macros.

    Thank you both!

More or less what I expected. I am cutting so maybe only 1 table spoon of PB. Also no cheese as I can't have the diary to many cals!

My breakfast depends on what mode I am in.

When I was competing alot I used to eat 5 whole eggs 5 egg whites, 1 cup of oats with trivia sugar, and uaually some fruit of some sort. Also, would throw in some whole wheat toast if I was carbing up for leg or back day.

On off times I just eat 6 egg whites and 1 cup of oats.

But there are a lot of different things you can make like 405 mentioned, and some awesome omelets. I just never had time so cooking eggs and oatmeal was easy enough.

I will say this. There was a time I was drinking 4 shakes a day with 50g protein in each shake. Only way I could keep intake up during my work day. I felt a little more tired but never felt like I was loosing anything.

I hate eggs but I started hiding 1-2 in 8 oz of lean beef in the morning with a red potatoe and diced onion

OP check out bison breakfast sausages. Not sure where you live but there are farms across us that you can get them and nutritional value is pretty good. Sometimes a little salty though but its a nice switch up

Protein Pancakes by SlimmerMe and 405..

    Blueberry OAt Pancakes:
    681cals, 57g pro, 88g carbs, 12g fat

140g frozen blueberries (i think the frozen work better and taste better, my opinion only )
1Cup liquid egg whites ( real egg whites from 7 large eggs is also acceptable)
    1Cup oats
    1Cup cottage cheese(2% 234g)

    1. put blueberries into microwave on defrost for 2mins (give or take depending on ur microwave)

    2. take oats and put into food processor and blend until powder.

    3. add cottage cheese & egg whites to the oats and blend again until smoothe like pancake batter

    4. stir in blueberries until mixed fairly evenly (thats stir by hand u dont wanna blend them! )

    5. cook like a regular pancake. i prefer mine smaller about 3" in diameter. makes about 16..

ive tried many sugar free syrups and the one i find to tast the best is Ms butterworths sugar free..

    enjoy!

p.s. i wont take credit for these i got this recipe from slimmer me and just added blueberries in. id also like to note theyre pretty good with strawberries and bananas! (and walnuts)

Mick, what you think I could do to reduce the carbs? They sound awesome but so high in carbs for cutting

I don't add fruit to my pancakes when cutting so that will save you some. Smaller portion. Make sure your cottage cheese is lowest carb possible or use Fromage frais which is typically less in terms of carbs.

Thanks Mickey! I use only 1% cottage cheese to keep the carbs down a bit more. And also add vanilla extract and artificial sweetener so I can drink straight up if in a hurry!

These pancakes have changed my life. And I owe it to Base who had a photo of a pancake I tried. But then I added the cottage cheese which made all the difference in the world!

They have kept me on track this entire journey~

I'm trying to cut out dairy. Any substitutes for this?

Also, anyone tried adding peanut butter or protein powder to the mix?

I don't eat bread right now (except Ezekiel on high days) so its mostly oats and rice for me. For breakfast I will throw in my oats right into my omelette. 1 cup of egg whites hides 1/2 cup of dry oatmeal well. Can't even tell its in there!!

Really though lunk, butter? BUTTER!! I haven't tasted that amazing calorie mess in months!

I think you don't know what you're talking about.
