Should I weigh yams before or after cooking?

250gms of baked yams ended up roughly 100gms (cooked).

Does this mean the past 3 months I have been 100gms and not 250gms?

I can't find any concrete information on Google. Can you please let me know your thoughts?

    FML for under eating.

To get an accurate count of macros, you should weigh them before cooking them.

    Right on, Bio.

That 50g was just moisture loss in the baking process. I bet if you boiled that same amount it would come out heavier than your original weight.

Always weigh raw because cooking adds or takes away moisture weight not actual cals.

Please say you weigh your rice raw and not cooked!!!!

I weigh everything raw but someone brought up a conflicting point and I didn't want to take any chances of under eating so I asked.

    Thanks guys.
