How do you guys consume all the protein you need each day?

    I'm 5'10" 190 on creatine lbm prolly about 160-165ish
And am finding it hard to consume my daily protein which would be about 240g and honestly I am getting no where near enough protein each day although I do try I take protein mix after my workout for easy protein. So my question how do u guys eat so much??? Or do u just spend a shit load of money
On protein mix?? And can you give me a layout of your daily meals: what u eat, about how much u eat ECT...

I'm eating roughly 300g/day - split over 4 meals plus a PWO shake. I'll just give you the protein for the day (not carbs, etc):

Meal 1: Protein Smoothie (my own concoction)
    roughly 60g

    PWO shake: roughly 60g

Meal 2: 9-10oz meat (beef, chicken, fish, pork): roughly 60g

Meal 3: 20oz liquid egg whites: roughly 60g

Meal 4: 10oz meat (beef, chicken, fish, pork): roughly 60g

Easy enough. Not too heavily dependent on protein powders (even my smoothie has very little powder) - really just my PWO shake and that's about it.

I have no problem supplementing with shakes to hit my protein if necessary. In the past I did one shake a day - now im very busy so I do 3. Would i rather do 1 - yes. Has it made a noticeable difference - no, not yet.

Just eat egg whites and throw away the yolk. Also get a bunch of boneless skinless chicken breasts and keep it with you so you can snack any time you feel hungry + some PWO shake and yogurt

Your egg whites from the shell only have a bioavailability of about 50% unless you are cooking them. You said eat so assume you're not drinking them but just letting you know, in case you didn't

Protein drink first thing in the a.m. with breakfast. Another post workout. I take one to bed and drink it in the middle of the night when I (always) wake up to pee.
Plus clean meals every 3 hrs or so.

It works. Just discipline yourself to your goal!

Why would he throw away the yolk? About 50% of the egg's protein is found in the yolk, not to mention the majority of nutrients. Think about it - the developing chick 'lives' in the yolk sac, not the white.

Now, if you're eating 10 eggs a day, you may need to ditch SOME of the yolks in order to avoid going over your fat macros, but I want to be clear there is nothing wrong (and in fact, only good) with egg yolks.

Isn't it true that there is a maximum amount of Protein that is digested by the body per meal?

Per meal? No. There is a max absorption rate, but it differs from person to person. People shouldn't concern themselves with this though, as larger meals will simply take longer to digest. The protein isn't being 'wasted' ... so long as it's within reason (e.g. you're not eating 500g/day).

I had the same problem at one point ( or so I thought)! Are you weighing your meats pre or post cooking? If you weigh them after cooking the. You are actually taking in more than you think, as everything will lose water when cooked.

For instance ground beef, a six ounce serving is reasonably large if weigh after cooking, but if you weigh out 6 ounces raw then cook it, it's really not that much, but still has the same amount of protein as it did when it was raw.

I weighed all my meats after they were cooked for a long time, and just couldn't get everything down, as much as I tried. Then discovered I was doing it all wrong, and my 3500 cals ( rather what I thought was 3500) suddenly became a lot easier to get in during the day.

I know it's a simple thought, but it's a question that hasn't been addressed and, just like it was for me, could be part of the problem.

Your body will assimilate as much protein as it needs.

I find it almost impossible to eat a substantial amount of eggs (say, more than 3 or so) without going over macros for fat? Even eating very lean elsewhere?

You sure about that? What constitutes "too much"? Is all cholesterol created equal? Please elaborate. If possible, post up a study showing us that there is evidence of egg yolks being linked to high (bad) cholesterol.

Ahh, there's the key word: substantial. He (TheS1tch) suggested eating whites and throwing away yolks (indiscriminately), as if egg yolks are bad.

I pour egg whites in a protein shaker. About Half of the big carton. Some milk. And a half scoop of whey chocolate protein for flavor. Tastes better than you'd think.

There's a scale I just got on amazon. Where when u weigh your food, type in the according food code (book comes with) and it calculates all macros for u.

To much cholesterol in an egg yolk, I call bs.

Dietary cholesterol isn't directly related to blood cholesterol. Anybody who weight trains and doesn't sit on their ass all day shouldn't be worried about a freakin egg yolk. Be more concerned about that can of coke you're about to slam
