When To Start Cutting?
Hey everyone.
I've been bulking and naturally been gaining some fat too. I've gone from 75kg to 84-85kg now and am not sure if I should stop bulking and cut? I can't seem to find info on how to figure out when to cut which is why I'm a little stuck. Everyone's weight seems to vary (I'm 13 stone but don't look it - perhaps because the fat is covering the muscle?) which is why I'm not sure how much I need to bulk before cutting to get the physique I want.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
Ps I'm 6'0 in terms of height and I am looking to look something like the guy on this website: ***EDIT*** Posting links to other sites is against our rules ~GB ***EDIT*** (above 'get in shape'). Perhaps a little more fat/'meatier' then that though lol but hopefully this puts it into perspective.Last edited by gbrice75; 05-24-2013 at 08:50 AM.

Had to edit your post, please read our rules!
There's no 'right' answer as to when you should start cutting. That's completely subjective and up to you. If you feel you've gained too much bodyfat for your (mental or physical) comfort, that probably means it's time to make a change. For some people, that would be 12%. For others, it's be 20%. It all varies depending on the individual's idea of what's 'too fat' for his/herself.

This means you won't have the dense & thick muscular look when you cut, which is why you should continue to lift properly and consistently for several more years before you go through a solid cutting phase.
If you think you have gained too much fat, then make the necessarily nutritional adjustments, as simple as that. Look into carbohydrate management (aka ''carb cycling'') as for a nutritional regimen, it slowly yet steadily allows you to make lean gains without gaining any considerable amount of BF%.

Yes I stopped the cycle as you told me to via PM. I have brought the 2 tablets (nova something - sorry can't rmb names) and I'm waiting for the 18 days to end so I can start the PCT. I'm training myself now.
Diet is the same as before except the following:
1. I only eat the fibre cereal + milk on non training days
2. Lunch and 15 Humapro and vitamin/creatine remain the same daily
3. Dinner I eat more lentils/vegetable curry and now 2 breads as I get hungry
4. Night shake includes everything as before. I have the oats in this shake so I don't get blurry vision when I train the next day on an empty stomach (how I train best).

Sure once I'm home I will upload a screenshot of the diet.
I do 30 mins cardio 3x a week after the weight lifting session (45 mins ish). I walk on speed 5 (used to be speed 6 before the cramping up and pain in my legs) or sometimes rowing to change it up. I usually overdo the legs workout lol so can only do about 10 mins of cardio but then I do another 20 mins later on in the day. I did try doing cardio then weights but I wasn't gaining and my workouts didn't go as well. Cardio after weights works best for me.

Diet attached.
Curry - our one has less fat (we dont use oil etc) but this is the best I could find.
Don't read too much into how I have sectioned things. I tend to eat cereal first, after some time the egg shake and spread out the HumaPro during the day. The rest is accurate in terms of foods I eat together.
