excuse my dumb question
I'm sure that some of you guys prep/cook your food in adv. But how far out do you cook for? I'm tired and get lazy thawing out and cooking 5-6x in a day. Its a pain in the rear .

When I did, it was just a few days worth. Lot's of people prepare a full week worth of meals. It's really best to bulk cook and store it in bulk. So you just use as you go instead of 100 tupperwares everywhere.

I personally cook ahead for 3-4 days and microwave when needed. Except for breakfast and dinner. I personally make time each day to make breakfast fresh. And dinner well me or my wife cook that daily. She enjoys the family dinner with the kids.

I was thinking of doing a full weeks worth. This will prevent me from hearing junk when I'm starving and can't wait to cook. I have two fridges at home so I should be ok. Yes, I always cook my breakfraat ( fresh is a must). However, I hate the taste of chicken when stored in the fridge and heated later. I get a nasty ta at from it. Is there a secret to it do that it don't fast like crap?

One idea is to go to Costco and buy chicken in a can. size is 12 ounces. cheaper than tuna.
what I usually eat for lunch at work is a can of chicken, salad out of a bag, and munch on nuts all day.

About the only thing I cook ahead of time is my chicken. Cut it to ~150g peices first, then marinade it for a few hours, grille it, bag it, freeze it. Getting ready to grille about 10-12 pounds here in a little while. I've been doing it every Sunday for a few weeks now and it works well enough. I actually think I prefer to eat the chicken right out of the fridge and still cold. Seems to have more flavor that way. Everything else I make as I need it.
