    Red meat

Im already eating a lb of chicken along with 8oz of beef and other protein. I was wondering if adding another 8 oz of beef would be bad daily? Basically 1lb of red meat. Is that even good for your health?

I've been eating 1.6-2.2 lbs of extra lean ground beef almost daily.

No. That's way too much meat to be healthy.

Then you need to eat. I can't imagine they are bulking calories for you.

Nobody needs that amount of protein, I bet you could drop that to 250g and up your carbs to 550-600g and make better gains.

I feel the majority overlook pork in favour of beef, I don't know if it's snobbery or the false perception that pork is fatty. You can get lean cuts and pork tends to be half the price of beef.

You'd be better off buying healthier cuts of organic pork over sub standard beef that's prolly factory farmed containing Christ knows what to meet finishing times.

16 0z of beef is not a lot imo. If you want to grow, eat more. I consume around 12 oz of meat each meal.

Red meat isn't necessarily bad for you. That's mostly a myth. There is a lot of crap in conventional supermarket meat. If you wanna pay more for organic/grassfed go for it. Meat is not bad for you though. That's an old wives tale.

you think? i thought calories consumption is what makes you grow with optimal protein. if i had 600g of carbs i prob be a balloon and bloated. i like having 1.5g-2g of protein. im also on cycle

2 grams protein? What is that, like, every 10 minutes?

What is optimal protein? Don't forget that carbs are protein sparing.
