    Caloric deficiency question

Sorry for such a dumb question, but is it possible to gain weight with a calorie deficiency?

For example, my TDEE is 3,000 cals, and my BMR is 2,500 cals and you're in taking 1,500 cals. Would that resulting being too malnourished and cause weight gain?

    Thank you!

Why would you consider only eating 1500 cals a day if you think you need 2500?

Potentially to cut quicker, just seeing if it would be too unhealthy and have negative ramifications.

No you will not gain weight will a calorie deficit however over an extended period of time your body will start to think you are starving yourself. your body will become inefficient in food partitioning and metabolism will slow down. I don't suggest it!

Thanks for your answer and time! I figured after a while it would go into starvation mode probably after a month or so.

Hi mate , I have found in the past month not to let your body get used to a 'norm'
Ive lost a stone in a month ( as of today ) with only one week dedicated to gym . So my loss's have been in the kitchen , minimal muscle loss

When I was intermitent fasting ( 24 hour periods over 4 days) two of my meals were a burgerking and a kfc , aswell as still having a cheat meal in the same week .

Dont let your body get used to what your doing . If you eat brocolli and turkey ED youll hit a wall eventually . Keep tricking your body so it doesnt get used to anything . Thats the best way to drop fat quick and keep muscle .

Be sure to hit daily protein macros !

Makes sense, I try to change my foods daily. It's like in the gym, if you do the same workouts for months on end, eventually you'll plateau.

I can't think of my macros, but I think it's 50% carbs, 30% fat, and 20% protein. I've noticed I'm probably having the most in protein, then carbs and fat.

My macros are different , my protein counts for approx 60% , carbs 20 , fats 20
( not counting carbs from brocoli )

I do this by upping the intake of lean protein , so I eat mainly turkey steaks , tuna . I get carbs from brown rice , and fats from fish oil , and omlette in morning .

Im one of these people that can eat the same thing every day .

If I was you id up protein and reduce carbs , are your carbs clean carbs ? Brown rice , sweet potato etc ?

You dont wanna try to minimise muscle loss when cutting bro

My carbs are clean, broccoli, potatoes, green veggies, hell even air popped popcorn.

Yeah I'll have to reduce my fat and carbs, protein stays fairly high.

What grams is your breakdown about?
