Thread: 110g protein, 150g fat, and 15g carbs - a keto diet?

    When you eat more carbs you burn more carbs and less fat; eat less carbs and you burn less carbs and more fat
    Protein is basically never going to be converted to fat and stored as such I have been told by knowledgable members of this forum that it is possible to have to high of a protein intake and the protein will turn to carbs ? This was reittrated when the female posted a log that she was trying to bulk an an almost 80% fat diet and she could not bulk even eating mass amounts of fat ? there are so many different messages sent by this info presented that facts and living research prove wrong , that just reading it is hard to believe anyone would state this as the way the human body works ?
    When you eat more protein, you burn more protein (and by extension, less carbs and less fat); eat less protein and you burn less protein (and by extension, more carbs and more fat) WTF
    Ingested dietary fat is primarily stored, eating more of it doesn’t impact on fat oxidation to a significant degree
    Let’s work through this backwards. When you eat dietary fat, it’s primary fate is storage as its intake has very little impact on fat oxidation (and don’t ask me a bunch of questions about “But people say you have to eat fat to burn fat?” in the comments. That idea is fundamentally wrong but would take an entire article to address). It also doesn’t impact greatly on the oxidation of the protein or carbohydrates.
    Carbohydrates are rarely converted to fat (a process called de novo lipogenesis) under normal dietary conditions. There are exceptions when this occurs. One is with massive chronic overfeeding of carbs. I’m talking 700-900 grams of carbs per day for multiple days. Under those conditions, carbs max out glycogen stores, are in excess of total daily energy requirements and you see the conversion of carbohydrate to fat for storage. But this is not a normal dietary situation for most people.


    I have no idea who wrote this or how long ago it was supposedly logged as a fact ? But if any part of it were true then all the type II diabetics in the US that are given classes on nutrition are told the opposite and if they followed this reasoning they would die !

    Most adults trying to cut fat and add lean mass are on a Type II Diabetic diet except even tighter than the average Type II Diabetic is advised to eat ? The instructions given to a Type II diabetic are to eat 5 to 6 small meals a day and limit carb intake and to still have a few carbs they are not instructed as to complex carbs and simple carbs ?

    I can state this as a fact not a google article ? Because before I started living a healthy life style and exercising more and regularly I was a Type II Diabetic and went to the nutrition classes and took notes and to me it was a very important class as in life or death and I am now eating this diet and my A1C is 4.8, which is lower than most ppl who are not Type II Diabetic !

    This is where a lifter and a Diabetic Type II will differ in their diet plan ! To lean out and gain mass the lifter will increase Protein and nearly cut carbs to reach carb depletion and then will get energy from fat stores in their body, after desired fat loose they will tweak their nutrition and start to add a few more carbs as they see how they effect thier body , this is from my personal experience and many men that I train with that are younger than me have a very similiar nutrition routine ! Fat is not burned from gear and not from a particuliar w/o routine ! 80% of the body is built in the kitchen from your intake of the proper foods ?

    your diet definitely seems low on protein... i'd do at least 180gP
